Hints and tips…Joining a new ball of wool

Where possible, always join a new ball at the beginning of the row.

If you are not sure if you have enough wool left – knit until you think you have enough wool for two rows, then fold the remaining wool in half, putting a knot at the centre point, and allowing about an extra 3″ on the end.

When attaching new wool, on either the last stitch of the old row, or the first stitch of the new row, use one strand from each ball. This will not be obvious in the finished item, but will hold both old and new wool firmly in place.
